The Promise Ring played at Irving Plaza tonight! They played all my favorites. I just couldn’t bring myself to cry, not even to “Forget Me” or “A Picture Postcard.” Davey just looked too happy to be there for me to try and be sad.

Oh right, I saw Archers of Loaf at Music Hall of Williamsburg last night
The audience was basically a crowd of indie boy bobblehead dolls with beards, glasses and flannel shirts. You would, Williamsburg. You WOULD.
Otherwise it was pretty cool, they played most of my faves.
Great. I missed the secret Refused show because I’ve been at home writing zines.

I saw that Braid was playing the Fest this year
And I instantly bought K and I tickets. Don’t care if I have to eat only mac n’ cheese next week. Up the punx etc.

Goddamn Philly punk house cats stole my socks while I was sleeping. And they made my blanket smell like cat poop and Lunchables.
On the bright side, I had great conversations with some queers and lady punx; we actually got paid for this show, and people bought our demos. We might also play another show with Slutever, who are the fucking coolest and the funnest. But now I’m just glad to be back home with Wallace the rabbit and a giant burrito.
