It’s really unfortunate, those who got the actual outline of the state of Florida tattooed on their bodies. (I’ve seen a guy with it tattooed on his FACE.) I see it and I just think of a flaccid penis.
Got a sweet tatt of two lovebirds at Graceland today. My friend Amy Shapiro (who drummed in my Babes In Toyland cover band) gave me a great discount, and is an amazing artist so there were wins all around. I’ll get the color done in three weeks. For now they look a lil’ like pigeons, but damn are they so cute.

This is my gender multi-tool. It looks a bit scabby because this is just a few weeks after it was done (props to River City Tattoos in Richmond, VA by the way!).
I’d wanted a gender related tattoo for a long time, and this image felt really applicable to me. It kind of means to me that “I can whip out a gender whenever it’s necessary because I’ve got a lot handy.”
My first tattoo: the Black Moon Lilith.
The Black Moon Lilith represents embracing the darker side of yourself, your past, and your experiences, in order to heal. In my chart, Lilith is positioned in Libra; I will devote my life to seeking justice for the abused, and emphasize balance in my relationships and my environment. (And that is a promise.)
